Faux Finishing Painting Classes

Learn faux finish painting from an accomplished licensed New Jersey painter who really knows and excels at her craft! Elizabeth Buffin is a graduate of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology – FIT – and has painted in many gracious homes in and around North Jersey as well as in many Northern New Jersey restaurants, churches and hospitals.

Faux Finishing  Painting Class Schedule (3 hour class):

Step by step instruction – learn sponge painting, rag rolling, color washes, marbleizing – transform accessories, walls and furniture into beautiful works of art! These techniques can be accomplished by the use of ordinary household tools with no need for an expensive investment! We will also learn several “fantasy finishes” such as Venetian plaster, antiquing, suede and leather finishes, malachite, tortoise shell, striping, faux granite and other stone finishes plus skies and clouds – transform accessories, walls, fireplace surrounds and furniture into beautiful works of art!  Enjoy the three hour workshop and take home a small picture frame or trinket box you have painted yourself using one of the techniques learned above! All classes are held at Elizabeth Buffin’s art studio located in Bergenfield. You will need to pre-register for any class you wish to take at least 2 weeks in advance. No walk-in’s – all classes must be pre-registered with us to assure that we don’t overbook as Elizabeth prefers to be able to give her students valuable one-on-one attention.

Face Painting Classes

Learn face painting from an accomplished licensed New Jersey painter who really knows and excels at her craft! Elizabeth Buffin is a graduate of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology – FIT – and has made many parties, mitzvahs and gatherings a super fun place to be with her artistic face painting techniques!

Face Painting Class Schedule (3 hour class):

Step by step instruction – for the beginner who has minimal or no painting experience! Learn the basics of face painting – stars, hearts, flowers, butterflies. We will also learn advanced techniques of face painting – highly detailed masquerade faces and animals. Paint artistically yet safely with non-toxic paints and be a star at your next party!
