Faux Finishing Painting Classes I and II – Basic and Advanced

Learn faux finish painting from an accomplished licensed New Jersey painter who really knows and excels at her craft! Elizabeth Buffin is a graduate of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology – FIT – and has painted in many gracious homes in and around North Jersey as well as in many Northern New Jersey restaurants, churches and hospitals.

Faux Finishing I – Basic Faux Finish Painting Class Schedule:

January 21, 2012 – Saturday – 10AM to 1PM
January 23, 2012 – Monday – 6PM to 9PM
February 4, 2012 – Saturday –  10AM to 1PM
February 6, 2012 – Monday –  6PM to 9PM
March 3, 2012 – Saturday – 10AM to 1PM
March 5, 2012 – Monday – 6PM to 9PM

Step by step instruction – learn sponge painting, rag rolling, color washes, marbelizing – transform accessories, walls and furniture into beautiful works of art! These techniques can be accomplished by the use of ordinary household tools with no need for an expensive investment! Enjoy the workshop and take home a small 5×7 or 8×10 picture frame you have painted yourself using one of the techniques learned above! Dress appropriately. Registration information below.

Step by step instruction – learn several “fantasy finishes” such as Venetian plaster, antiquing, suede and leather finishes, malachite, tortoise shell, striping, faux granite and other stone finishes plus skies and clouds – transform accessories, walls, fireplace surrounds and furniture into beautiful works of art! Enjoy the workshop and take home a small trinket box you have painted yourself using one of the techniques learned above! Dress appropriately. Registration information below.

All classes are held at Elizabeth Buffin’s art studio located in Bergenfield. You will need to pre-register for any class you wish to take at least 2 weeks in advance. No walk-in’s – all classes must be pre-registered with us to assure that we don’t overbook as Elizabeth prefers to be able to give her students valuable one-on-one attention.
